This week was such a relief after being constantly sick and then being constantly busy. We chilled out a lot around the house and went to the park and the zoo. Since we spent so much time at home I was able to make some meals that take a little longer to cook but all the time is in the oven or on the stovetop which means time for other things and a house that smells delicious all day. For Halloween we took the kids for a short trick or treat trip and then went to Gigi’s for dinner and to help her hand out candy. The kids had a blast and we are always lucky to be able to eat anything Gigi makes.
- Beef Stew and Bread
- In the last 30 minutes of cooking I decided to add some barley I found in the cupboard. I just tossed in maybe a cup and added some extra broth and let it cook the rest of the time.
